Our Mission

Golden Moms aims to provide a community of unwavering support, advocacy, and connection for mothers navigating childhood cancer—whether in treatment, survivorship, or remembrance.

While centered on mothers, we warmly welcome grandmothers, aunts, and other caregivers who share in this journey. Together, we uplift, empower, and push for change while holding space for healing and hope.

Connect with Us

Golden Moms includes advocates, speakers, entrepreneurs, changemakers, and moms who just need connection. Some focus on policy change, others raise awareness, and many are simply looking for a place where they feel seen.

There are no expectations—just a community that gets it. Whether it’s driving change, hosting wellness retreats, or meeting for coffee, we support each other in all aspects of this journey.

The Origin of Golden

The Golden name began as a spark of hope in the face of heartbreak. When Griff was diagnosed with cancer, his mom Tamy created Little Press Co. as a creative outlet and a way to give back. The Golden line quickly became a symbol of strength and support for childhood cancer research.

Gold is the internationally recognized colour for childhood cancer awareness. It represents the preciousness and resilience of children facing this disease—a symbol of hope, unity, and strength in the fight.

After Griff’s passing, that spark continued. What began as a clothing line grew into something more: a movement rooted in legacy, advocacy, and connection. Tamy now shares their journey through The Golden Society, hoping to inspire others to find light in dark times.

Inspired by her strength and story, a group of oncology moms in Toronto came together and formed Golden Moms. The name traveled back to Ottawa—where Griff’s story began—and became a unifying banner for local oncology families, support, and community.

"I am dedicated to honoring Julia’s legacy by supporting other moms walking this impossible road. As she said, ‘Life is short, grab it by the reins and take it and live it, but don’t do stupid stuff, that’s wasting it. Be a happier you, go see the waters, touch the ocean, figure out what you want to do and do it.’ "

"My own grief journey has been complex. It was other cancer moms that helped me find the light again when all I saw was darkness. I strive to pay the kindness forward. I have learned that nobody can walk this path alone."
